Global warming and energy crisis has forced us to find solutions which are effective as well as efficient. As energy crisis is increasing day by day, it is also increasing our concerns regarding quick solutions to this problem. However, major breakthroughs have been made and are in process to reduce the energy crisis as well as the global pollution.

You cannot eliminate the crisis from the root, but you can contribute in the reduction of any kind of crisis. Solar panels, solar lighting, LED lighting are some of many efforts made by experts. These technologies are so efficient and effective, but are not the total replacement for the existing systems. These technologies are getting better and better.

Future of solar lighting

Solar lighting is a new emerging lighting technology. It is not very popular and common, but it has a bright future. No doubt, it can never replace the other current lighting options and it will always have a secondary importance.

It will be mostly used in areas like street lights, parking lights, outdoor lights and so on. It is a cost-effective and energy-efficient way of lighting. Solar lighting has small solar panels which converts solar energy into electricity. This electricity then can be used in any electronic device.

The major problem with solar lighting is that it does not have the guarantee to have solar power everyday. In some countries, solar energy is available for the whole year, but there are some countries in the world, which have less exposure to sunlight. Countries which have sunlight available for the whole year can use solar lighting effectively, but still cannot rely on it completely.

However, solar lighting is a very good option for some lighting applications. As the time is passing, solar lighting is getting better and now is being used in common life activities. It has many benefits. It has no pollution, zero maintenance cost, it is almost a free source of lighting, it requires no wiring, it is green lighting, one time installation, long life span and so much more.

However, its initial cost is high, but its long life span supersedes its cost. Surely, it will become more efficient and effective lighting solution in the future. The need of the hour is that common people has to understand and adopt this technology.
